Family Owned. MN Grown.

Beef.

The taste and quality of home grown.

We are 4th and 5th generation Minnesota farmers raising Black Angus Beef.

We have a passion for raising wholesome beef to feed our family and yours.

We raise Angus Beef for the quality in meat and the superior flavor profile.

This is a family based farm where we work together to raise our beef in the wide open pastures of the

Minnesota heartland.

Sasse (pronounced Sass) Lake Farms is where our herd calls home. And yes! There is an actual Sasse Lake. Minnesota really is the land of 10,000 lakes.

Meet the Farmers!

Erik is everything the next generation of farmers should be: passionate, hard working and determined. He brings everything to the table and then some. He has a keen intuition with animals that keeps the herd both happy and healthy.
Erik grew up on the farm (Ebert Farms) and began working on the farm at a young age. Imagine a five year old wrangling pigs. That was Erik. :) In high-school, Erik took his love for football to the field and played for Sibley East.
Erik began his college degree at Liberty and then finished with an Ag degree at SDSU.
Besides raising beef, he is now working on Ebert Farms, restoring his farm house and property near Elysian, MN, raising heritage pigs, growing produce for farmer's markets, and spending time with his fiance, Jessica.
When he's not working on the farm, you can probably find him catching a football game and playing fantasy football... 'cause that's how this family rolls.
Erik is a Loyal, hard working, passionate, and visionary young man.

Joel is a 4th generation farmer, which means his loyalty to the farm runs deep. He has lived on the same acreage his entire life. You could say he was born to farm. He has a very scientific way of thinking and thrives on research. •
Joel started his Ag degree at MSU and finished at the University of Minnesota. While most young people take time off to work on their degrees, Joel continued to work long hours during the majority of his time in school. •
Upon graduation he continued working on Ebert farms and started raising hogs. He has also worked as a crop adjuster on and off through the years. •
Now life finds him with hands full(y blessed) with two boys and a wife. • When it comes to loyalty, determination, kindness, empathy, strength, and a willingness to go the extra mile, this man embodies them all. Not to mention He’s an amazing family man.•
